Rumble Boxing master franchisor announces rollout plan for Australian studios

Brendan James and Matt Gordin, holders of master franchising rights to Rumble Boxing in Australia, have announced that the brand is to expand across the country.

With six locations already operating - at St Leonards and Bondi in NSW, South Melbourne, Brisbane’s West End and Subiaco and Innaloo in Western Australia - the pair, who also hold exclusive rights to Xponential Fitness’ Club Pilates, CycleBar and StretchLab brands - are looking to open at least 50 locations across Australia.

Currently, studios are set to open in four locations this year - in North Canberra, Manly and Mona Vale in NSW and Broadbeach in Queensland.

Founded in New York in the USA, Rumble Boxing’s planned roll out in Australia, first announced in 2021, was stalled by the pandemic. However, the full-body, boxing-inspired group fitness designed for all levels is ready to present its mixed program of strength and boxing training to members.

Each 45-minute training session is split into 10, three-minute rounds that are programmed to custom Rumble-only playlists.

Brother-in-laws and close friends, Gordin and James operate the master franchising rights to Rumble Boxing in Australia under their Box X Operations entity, which sits under the umbrella of their Boutique Fitness Studios (BFS) operation.

With a shared a passion for the fitness industry, Gordin first brought the CycleBar indoor-cycling brand to Australia while James, after a career in finance embarked on his own entrepreneurial journey by developing Club Pilates.

As the number of brands within the BFS stable has grown and the opportunities to scale effectively in Australia became more apparent, the pair partnered to create the BFS name, offering a portfolio of four distinct fitness brands under one umbrella.

This strategic collaboration allowed them to leverage their combined expertise and resources to expand their reach and impact in the industry.

With over 50 locations open and 80 studios already sold across the BFS group, their business continues to flourish with a focus on further expansion and providing strong support for franchise owners.

The latest addition to their lineup, Rumble, has quickly become one of the hottest brands in the market, gaining significant popularity.
