Revo Fitness continues expansion with acquisition of Danny Green’s Perth gym

Fast growing Western Australian gym chain Revo Fitness is set to expand in Perth’s northern suburbs with the acquisition of the remaining Danny Green’s Green Zone Fitness facility.

Green Zone Fitness, which previously operated a location in Joondalup, is owned by Green, who also has a stake in boxing gym franchise UBX which now has more than 80 locations across Australia and New Zealand, with three in the Perth suburbs of Scarborough, South Perth and Bedford.

It also expanding in Europe and Japan.

With the gym to change hands later this month, Revo Fitness Managing Director, Andrew Holder said Green’s focus on UBX, coupled with Revo’s intent to expand and pick up customers in Perth’s outer-northern suburbs, were instrumental in the deal coming together.

Holder advised “the health and fitness industry is a pretty small one, so everyone knows everyone.

“We’ve been looking for a long period of time to open a Revo Fitness in the northern corridor, and when the opportunity came to start looking around for existing gyms to acquire or greenfield sites, it just made sense to reach out to the owners of Green Zone and Danny to see if they were interested.

“Danny has some big deals and big business with UBX, and I thought it might be something he may be interested in, in terms of refocusing his energies on something that’s grown globally.

“We’re on a national rollout campaign right now and it kind of fell into place and worked out for all parties.”

PerthNow reports that attracting member in outer-suburban Perth has become a major focus for Revo, with the franchise recently opening a location in Kwinana and earmarking Rockingham and Port Kennedy for further expansion.

Stating that suburbs between Scarborough and Joondalup were likely to become a stronger focus for the company in the coming months Holder added “we’re really focused on continuing to create a strong network of our locations to ensure that people can access fitness affordably, especially in this inflationary environment.

“Our model really suit[s] people looking for something affordable while keeping their health and wellbeing in check.”

Revo operates 31 locations across the country, with 20 of those in Western Australia.
