Former Australian Wallabies strength coach appointed as UBX Head of Strength and Conditioning

UBX has appointed Brad Harrington, renowned strength and conditioning coach to professional athletes including the Australian National Rugby Union team the Wallabies, as its new Head of Strength and Conditioning.

Harrington will oversee the strength and conditioning component of UBX’s workouts, working with UBX Co-Founder, Head of Boxing and four-time world champion boxer Danny Green and Head of Nutrition Miranda Vines to deliver a world-class training program for its members.

Harrington has worked in the fitness industry for more than 20 years, starting his professional career in the Super League and then switching to professional rugby in 2004, working with multiple teams including Scarlets, Leinster Rugby and the Waratahs. Most notably, Harrington spent four years, including two World Cup campaigns, as the Head of Strength and Conditioning for the Australian Wallabies.

UBX Co-founder Tim West notes “Brad is a legend in the professional sports industry and is a renowned strength and conditioning coach to professional rugby players all over the globe, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the UBX family.”

Harrington added “I really enjoy helping people achieve their goals and I’ve had the fortune of doing that with professional athletes over the last 25 years. I’m a big fan of the UBX model and their science-based methodology. Boxing is something I’ve always incorporated in my clients conditioning toolbox too. I can’t wait to get involved and start delivering results.”

UBX members will get their first taste of Harrington’s world-class training methods with the relaunch of the gym’s six week challenge - UBX Training Camp - which launches exclusively to members from this week.

Harrington’s appointment marks another exciting milestone for UBX in 2022 - earlier this year UBX carried out a major rebrand across its Australian network and announced plans to open 250 gyms in the UK through a £50 million (AU$93 million) strategic partnership with Empowered Brands.
