Big names to attend Fitness Show WA
Boxer Danny Green and UFC fighter Diego Sanchez will join Commando Steve (aka Steve Willis) and the Healthy Chef Teresa Cutter in Perth for the Fitness Show WA, to be held in Perth on 16th and 17th August.
Green is the only boxer in Australia to win four professional boxing titles and is one of the highest profile athletes in the country.
His devastating power and aggressive instincts have earned him the title of the ‘green-machine’, and he’ll but putting Perth fitness fanatics through their paces at the event, answering questions on what makes him the best at what he does.
Green will be joined at the show by UFC Fighter Diego Sanchez. Nicknamed ‘The Nightmare’, Sanchez rose to fame after winning the first season of reality TV show ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’
From leading open workouts to running training seminars, Sanchez is looking forward to being a part of the Fitness Show WA for the first time.
Both Sanchez and Green will star in The West Australian Combat Festival, a brand new highlight of the 2014 show.
Featuring more than 200 Jiu Jitsu Competitors taking part in the AFBJJ-WA GI and No GI competition and novice amateur fighters battling it out at the WKA Muay Thai competitions, this brand new feature has something for everyone.
Other standout show features include the most lucrative natural bodybuilding tournament in Australian history, run by the International Natural Bodybuilding Association, and incorporating a huge $25,000 prize pool for competitors.
A new focal feature of the show, the Healthy Living Zone has been introduced to showcase a range of exhibitors appealing to the healthy living and calorie-conscious among us, and will feature special guests, including the Healthy Chef Teresa Cutter and qualified dietitian, sports dietitian and personal trainer, Amy Giannotti.
Nutritional experts will be on hand throughout the weekend to provide the newest and up-to-date advice on nutrition and healthy eating programs to help achieve the best fitness levels possible.
Returning in 2014, the Cross Functional Training competitions, which run throughout the weekend, will see competitors from across Western Australia battle it out over two gruelling days of competition.
Industry professionals from across Western Australia will also get the chance to trial the latest fitness equipment and discover new training techniques from leaders within the industry with more than 80 exhibitors from across Australia offering the latest in fitness apparel, supplements, healthy foods, training aids and fitness equipment.
The Fitness Show WA is being held in association with the Western Australian Fitness Industry Convention (WAFIC).
