Striking Brands fully re-acquires 9Round following Lift Brands sale of minority share

The full ownership of kickboxing fitness concept, 9Round, is now back under the umbrella of Striking Brands following Lift Brands having sold its minority share (40%) in the 9Round brand back to Striking Brands.

Striking Brands is the parent company of 9Round globally - having nearly 400 locations in 18 countries - with 9Round having operated in Australia and New Zealand since 2011. Lift Brands is the parent business of fitness franchise Snap Fitness and leading omnifitness business Fitness On Demand.

The transaction marks a positive step forward for both companies, as Lift Brands focuses on the ongoing success of its Snap Fitness and Fitstop networks, while Striking Brands leads 9Round into a new era of innovation and growth.

As part of this transition, Striking Brands will also acquire the master franchise rights for 9Round in Australia and New Zealand, with operational responsibility and network support having begun in April 2025.

Chris Caldwell, Chief Executive of Lift Brands APAC, expressed his support for the transition and highlighted Lift Brands’ continued growth in the region.
