Vivaticket continues international growth with new acquisition
Italian ticketing company Vivaticket has consolidated its presence in Spain with the acquisition of Tecteltic On-line SL, a Madrid-based ticketing operator with an innovative cashless payment solution.
Amid a series of recent changes in the ticketing space that has seen Tickets.com exit the Australian market and SKIDATA acquired by Assa Abloy, Vivaticket's acquisition of Tecteltic marks the latest stage in its international growth.
Established in 2013, Tecteltic owns the two brands Entradas a tu Alcance, used for B2C operations, the third-largest ticketing portal in Spain with more than 3.5 million tickets sold in 2023, and Safety Global (established in 2019) for B2B operations, the leading company in the country in terms of solutions for access control, cashless solutions for festivals, and Order & Pay with smart terminals for concert bars.
With more than 1,800 large-scale ticketing events managed in 2023, the company also began utilising artificial intelligence to enhance predictions based on data from large events, providing promoters with a valuable tool for making decisions that optimise their results.
The acquisition by Vivaticket will allow Tecteltic Online SL to further expand its reach internationally, as an extension of Vivaticket’s network and strategy in Spain.
Founded in 1999, Vivaticket sells 850 million tickets per year in 52 countries, with this new acquisition, following its purchase of Impronta in 2023, reinforcing the company´s Spanish footprint and its ability to serve Spanish-speaking markets.
Announcing the acquisition, Vivaticket Chief Executive, Silvano Taianis stated “we are delighted to announce the acquisition of Tecteltic today, as a continuation of our international growth. While this acquisition will consolidate the growth of Vivaticket in Spain – together, we look forward to entering new geographies and verticals through our shared objectives. We are happy to be welcoming the Tecteltic team to Vivaticket and look forward to our continued collaboration.”
