Museums Victoria goes live with Vivaticket’s ticketing and access control solution
Museums Victoria has announced the installation of Vivaticket’s ticketing and access control solution is now live at the Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks.
Web sales went live on 15th June prior to Scienceworks and the Melbourne Museum reopening with limited capacity from 27th June.
As well as the Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks, Museums Victoria also operates the Immigration Museum, IMAX and the Royal Exhibition Building. As Australia’s largest public museum organisation, it hosts more than two million visitors each year, who come from all over Australia and globally.
With the Melbourne Museum having been a Victorian institution for over 160 years, its collections - which number more than 17 million items - offer an invaluable record of Victoria’s environmental and cultural history.
Commenting on the Vivaticket installation, Naomi McCurry, Digital Projects Manager at Museums Victoria, stated “we are all very excited to be live with BOS. After years of talking and dreaming about a new ticketing system for Museums Victoria, it is finally here.
“It has been a great collaborative effort between Vivaticket and Museums Victoria. I have received a lot of feedback from the Leadership Team at MV about how well the process has gone, especially in line with re-opening doors to Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks under our new COVID-19 guidelines.”
Vivaticket’s ticketing and access control solution provides an outstanding customer experience for its clients and their customers, members and patrons. The online sales functionality and enhanced point of sale deliver leading customer service for admissions, exhibitions, groups, and school itinerary planning.
Vivaticket solutions not only support the current needs of its clients, but also integrate with other key business systems and leverage evolving technological developments to provide a solution that best suits the client and their client engagement.
