Genesis franchises successful ‘Coaching Zone’ concept
Fitness operator Belgravia Health has announced that its popular Coaching Zone concept is now available as a franchise opportunity, allowing activity entrepreneurs to take advantage of the huge growth in High Intensity Interval Training with a tried and tested formula.
Over the past 18 months, the Coaching Zone training platform has been operational within many of Belgravia Health’s Genesis clubs, allowing members to choose from eight different small group workouts, each 45-minutes long and followed by a 15-minute coaching consult that is a valuable part of member retention.
The Coaching Zone has grown at a very fast rate since the concept first launched within Genesis clubs towards the end of 2016 and 29 clubs have now introduced the concept and are reporting strong uptake by members, predominantly females (73%) in their 30s (average age 34.3).
The Coaching Zone is integrated with the MYZONE heart rate monitoring system, which allows members to monitor their workout efforts both inside and outside the studio.
The model offers online nutrition support, social events and has highly marketable sessions including the ‘Afterburn’ workout, which allows members to continue to burn fat for over a day post-workout.
The new franchise offering allows the franchisee to run the Coaching Zone as a stand-alone studio with the backing of one of the longest standing names in the fitness industry
Belgravia Health Chief Executive Ian Jensen-Muir is acutely aware of how competitive the fitness industry is and sees that that the strength and experience of Belgravia Health allows franchisees to leverage support and simplify the daunting task of opening a new studio.
Jensen-Muir explains “we’re very excited to offer Coaching Zone as a stand-alone studio concept to those wanting to confidently take their first step, or the next step in their fitness career.
“With a growing market of high intensity group personal training studios, Coaching Zone provides a training solution for people looking for a non-intimidating and achievable training program with additional programming to accommodate them as their fitness levels grow.”
Support is provided for franchisees for payroll, accounts/accounting, billing, human resources, uniforms, group buying and marketing.
Each Coaching Zone requires a footprint of 200 to 250 metres² to operate (inclusive of amenities).
