Belgravia Group acquires Community Sports Camps
The Belgravia Group’s Belgravia Sport Division has recently acquired Melbourne-based Community Sports Camps.
Operating in a similar market to Belgravia Sports’ Australian Sports Camps venture, Community Sports Camps run a range of school holiday camps for children in sports including AFL, basketball, football and netball.
In business for over 30 years, Australian Sports Camps was acquired by Belgravia Sports in 2013 and has since grown to offer administered camps in every state for school-aged children in sports including AFL, football, netball, cricket, hockey, basketball, rugby and tennis.
Belgravia Group Chairman Geoff Lord explains "we are keen to see more children pursuing physical activieis rather than screen time.
"Our goal is to engage 100,000 kids per annum and this (acquisition), plus our learn-to-swim, takes us half way there."
The Belgravia Sport Division includes Pre School Sport (an educational sports program that develops the fundamental motor skills of two to five year olds in Melbourne); Big 5 Sports (providing challenging programs for young active children); Play Ground Fitness (outdoor PT sessions in primary schools) and Dance Oz.
