BlueFit Group appoints new Chief Financial Officer

The BlueFit Group have announced the appointment to the newly created role of Chief Financial Officer, with Gary Williamson joining the leadership team.

Williamson has extensive experience in medium to large multinational organisations and is well placed to assist Chief Executive Todd McHardy in delivering the company's growth and strategic objectives.

Explaining what attracted him to the role, Williamson commented "it was a combination of my desire to work closely with both community and business stakeholders plus the opportunity to join a group with clear growth plans and strong, committed leadership.

Williamson added "transparent, timely reporting, good governance and strong internal controls benefit all of our stakeholders including council partners, shareholders and everyone in the BlueFit team."

BlueFit founder and Group Chief Executive Todd McHardy advised that while "great candidates were considered" it was "Gary's third interview attending farewell drinks of a long-term staff member that got him over the line.

“BlueFit is our big family and there is a need to be the right fit. Watching Gary mix with our team at the drinks proved to me he was the right applicant."

BlueFit manage council-owned aquatic and golf venues in Sydney and have recently announced ex-Bunnings Chief Executive John Gillam as group Chair.
