Australian of the Year 2021 Grace Tame named as headline speaker for FILEX Trainer Summit

FILEX has announced that activist and 2021 Australian of the Year, Grace Tame, will headline the 2021 FILEX Trainer Summit, delivering the opening keynote presentation with a speech that organisers say will “move and inspire” delegates.

The 2021 Australian of the Year became a household name after winning a court order to publicly speak out against the perpetrator who subjected her to horrific abuse as a teenager.

A pillar of strength for many, Tame is an outspoken advocate for child sexual abuse prevention and has campaigned heavily for survivor rights.

Being held at the Hilton, Sydney 13th and 14th August 2021, the Trainer Summit will be the industry’s most dynamic learning event, where the theoretical meets the practical to offer trainers content they simply cannot get anywhere else.

The event will be headlined by a world-class keynote speaker and the high-quality expo will be fully integrated with the education to ensure two days of seamless learning, networking and inspiration.

With the global pandemic having hit the fitness industry harder than most, FILEX General Manager, Anthony Reed highlights that the event organisers are keen to be back presenting face-to-face events.

Following the success of last month's FILEX Leadership Summit, Reed explains "fitness professionals have been extremely vocal in their preference for events where people can physically come together to learn, network and celebrate this amazing, vibrant industry.”

Reed believes that pent up demand will see the industry bounce back stronger, adding “I’m having many conversations with industry leaders and almost unanimously they tell me that they and their teams cannot wait to return to the dynamism and atmosphere of a live FILEX event. The audience is ready to go, I can tell you.”

For more than 30 years, FILEX has been at the epicentre of the Australian fitness industry and during that time the brand has evolved into a year-round provider of professional development education events, both face-to-face and virtual.

The deadline for Early Bird rate tickets for the FILEX Trainer Summit ends soon.

FILEX is backed by Fitness Australia.
