Fitness Australia welcomes business member nominations for its Board of Directors

Peak body Fitness Australia is inviting leading industry stakeholders to help shape the future of fitness by joining its Board of Directors.

Following a hotly contested election in 2016, Fitness Australia is looking to elect two Directors to its Board of Directors, to take office at the organisation’s AGM on 12th October 2017.

Fitness Australia explains "this is a great opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to lead and drive Fitness Australia’s strategic agenda and achieve industry goals and objectives.”

Other positive reasons cited for getting involved on Fitness Australia’s Board of Directors include:

Achievement - apply your industry knowledge and experience to lead and drive Fitness Australia's strategic agenda and achieve industry goals and objectives;

Engagement - involvement in key issues and opportunities that directly affect the fitness industry;

Connection - expansion of your professional networks and collaboration with industry peers;

Recognition - industry, peer and public recognition through your leadership of and contribution to the fitness industry.

In accordance with Clause 38.2 of the Constitution of Fitness Australia Ltd any Business Member can nominate for election to the Board of Directors; the Definition of a Business Member is found at Clause 14.1 in the Constitution.

Nominations are open now and can be accepted until 21st July 2017.
