Billboard names Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena among world's top 10 live music venues
The Qudos Bank Arena at Sydney Olympic Park has named one of the most popular and successful venues in the world by American music and entertainment magazine Billboard.
In its 2023 year-end global boxscore charts, the TEG owned, ASM Global managed venue was named seventh among indoor venues with a capacity of 15,000 or more, just behind internationally renowned venues such as New York's Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena.
During Billboard’s tracking period from November 2022 to September 2023, Qudos Bank Arena generated $79.4 million in ticket sales, welcoming over 785,000 patrons across 75 shows during this timeframe.
Notably it was the sole venue from the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this distinction.
Commenting on the recognition, TEG Chief Executive, Geoff Jones stated "as the proud owner of Qudos Bank Arena, we at TEG are delighted to see the venue ranked so highly on the world stage alongside some of most iconic venues on the planet."
Built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the 21,389 capacity venue has hosted a remarkable suite of international acts including Prince, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Motley Crue, Kendrick Lamar, Bruce Springsteen, Dua Lipa, Andrea Bocelli, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber.
Qudos Bank Arena General Manager, Steve Hevern commented “this is a testament to the resilience of the live entertainment industry in the post-Covid era and our team's professionalism and devotion.”

Billboard’s 2023 year-end global boxscore charts also listed the Brisbane Entertainment Centre as ninth on its chart for indoor venues with a capacity of 10,001 to 15,000 capacity and Frontier Touring seventh in its top 10 promoters.
