Brisbane Entertainment Centre welcomes successful Ariana Grande concert
The management of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (BEC) has thanked fans for ensuring a smooth running, highly successful Ariana Grande concert last night (12th September).
With venues hosting concerts on Grande’s current tour having introduced high levels of security, BEC General Manager, Trish McNamara said the concert had been issue-free, due largely to the “brilliant co-operation” from the 10,600 fans who attended.
McNamara explained “we are extremely pleased with the success of the ‘no bags’ policy which was in place for this concert, and that patrons heeded the messages communicated to them by both SMS and email.
“Not only were they co-operative and understanding of the policy, they created a great atmosphere once inside the venue. It is a credit everyone who attended that there were no evictions or issues recorded.
“This was the first event at the Centre where the ‘no bag’ policy was enforced and it actually assisted our staff in getting patrons into the venue much quicker, which was a bonus.”
In addition to the co-operation from fans, McNamara thanked the Queensland Police Service for their assistance, both in planning for the event and ensuring it was a fantastic and safe night for all who attended.
She concluded “and finally, a special thanks to all Brisbane media outlets for their assistance in communicating the key messages around this event in a positive and responsible manner. They too contributed to the success of the concert.”
