Basketball Australia signs refbook as Officials’ Technology Partner

To provide an online solution with the flexibility and functionality needed across Australian representative basketball, Basketball Australia have signed refbook as the Officials’ Technology Partner.

The platform will be used by officials including the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL), National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL), Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL), the Australian Junior Championships and the Australian Secondary Schools Championships.

refbook Head of Commercial, Jon Chapman advised the partnership is an exciting milestone in the company’s growth, and sees the relationship as an opportunity to continue enhancing its technology ecosystem.

Chapman notes “we’re looking forward to working closely with the team at Basketball Australia, and together have already identified a number of strategic projects that will provide value to elite and developing officials.”

Basketball Australia Head of Game Development, Michael Haynes who manages the official’s workforce is already impressed with the improvements that refbook have made across the business.

Haynes adds “the officials are such a crucial part of our sport and refbook enables them to manage their commitments across a range of competition levels in the one place. At the same time, refbook provides Basketball Australia with infrastructure to complete all administrative tasks in the one platform.”

The partnership has commenced and is already being used by the WNBL, regarded as one of the world’s best professional women’s basketball leagues.
