ActiveXchange announces Chief Technology Officer appointment
Further expanding its SportsEye data and technology solution alongside hundreds of organisations and vendors connected to its network. ActiveXchange has announced the appointment of Tom Bourne as Chief Technology Officer.
Bourne has worked in the leisure industry for over 20 years with organisations across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region including Virgin Active, Next Generation, Crunch and most recently leading solutions provider Jonas Leisure.
Throughout the last two decades, he has led a number of digital transformation projects and has a track record for delivering world-class consumer-facing applications within the industry.
Announcing the appointment, ActiveXchange Chief Executive, James Ellender stated “this is a significant step forward for everyone across our Network as we continue to invest in our product and importantly the technology stack that underpins the resulting market solutions and sector intelligence created via the safe, secure and easy movement of data.
“We are fully committed to collaborating with membership management systems, business and consultants, government and peak bodies, and importantly the delivery organisations powering sport, leisure and recreation participation and Tom’s skills and expertise will be an important backbone of our ongoing development evolution, alongside the digital transformation ahead.”

Rolling out its product range, ActiveXchange is set for significant expansion over the next 12 months based on a commitment to deliver the best data intelligence for the aquatic, fitness, recreation and sport industry, based on a platform that is set to be a game-changer on how data and insights are accessed, viewed and produced.
Bourne will be leading the rollout of this project - SportsEye V2, which will enhance our customer's experience, making it easier, simpler and faster for users to manage and access their data at a touch of a button.
He adds “as we continue to invest in our capabilities to our customers, I look forward to showcasing the work our team is driving with Machine Learning and the forecasting and predictive modelling we'll bring to global operators, sports, government and everyone trying to get more people moving across the globe.”
