Collaboration between Sport Huddle and ActiveXchange to deliver key data to sporting organisations
A new collaboration between industry data platform ActiveXchange and sports industry facilitator Sport Huddle is set to bring data to the fingertips of more sporting organisations across Australia.
The partnership will see ActiveXchange assist sports in finding more ways to grow through accessing data that is vital for them to identify, connect with and grow their participation.
Founded in 2018, ActiveXchange brings data, decisions and operations into one platform, known as SportsEye, for the sport sector.
As a multi-award winning data company that is passionate about supporting sports and other sectors including leisure and recreation, to shape more active and healthy communities.
Sport Huddle is a exciting platform that can transform how sporting organisations run their businesses and grow their participation base more efficiently and effectively.
A recent development saw Sport Huddle founder Jess Hurford join ActiveXchange Head of Customer Success Jyo Shukla to discuss the benefits of industry collaboration and the importance of data to the sport sector.

Speaking of her experience, Hurford mentioned one particular key barrier when it comes to sports collaborating together, noting “I think historically sport has not collaborated well but not for not wanting too but they didn’t have time to step back and think about how they could do things better. They are hugely under-resourced, underfunded and sometimes volunteer-based.
“Primarily it is a time factor. The situation has always been there but COVID-19 really forced everyone's hand.”
With so much fragmented data out there, ActiveXchange are helping their network by translating this data into easy to understand insights to equip sports with the unique story their data tells about them.
Shukla noted “this is an industry where we’re surrounded by data but we’re starved for insights and I think that’s where the work ActiveXchange is doing is filling the gap.”
Whether their goals are to grow membership and participation, use their facilities in an optimal way, planning future infrastructure and more, Shukla is confident ActiveXchange’s Data Science team can help.
She added “what you get in your hands is this powerful, independent data applicator that is going to support and power your outcomes.”
