ActiveXchange announces Karen Slabbert as Head of Product, ANZ

Data technology expert, ActiveXchange has announced that following an extensive recruitment process, Karen Slabbert has been appointed as their new Head of Product, Australia and New Zealand.

ActiveXchange Chief Executive, James Ellender notes “we’re thrilled to have someone of Karen’s wealth of executive experience, entrepreneurial mindset, and performance history in supporting retail, hospitality and charity clients, brands and stakeholders generate shared value through data and insights, over many years in both Australia and her homeland South Africa”.

Looking forward to her new role, Slabbert added “I'm excited to use my experience with Big Data in the retail and hospitality industries to make a difference in the sport, leisure and recreation sector. ActiveXchange has built something truly incredible, and I feel honoured to be able to join the team.

“ActiveXchange's SportsEye Network presents a focussed opportunity to close the gap between government, venue operators, sporting organisations and many more parts of the ecosystem to better tackle physical activity, participation, infrastructure, investment and advocacy.”

“In a post-COVID world, now is the time to collaborate as an industry and connect to a platform that can garner evidence-led insights that will help Australia and New Zealand reconnect, rebuild and thrive as a society.”

Slabbert (pictured) will work alongside the Data Science team and play an important role on ActiveXchange’s Executive team, listening to partners to shape strategic thinking as ActiveXchange further develops products and solutions in close collaboration with clients.
