ActiveXchange reveals new initiatives as part of Federal Government-backed scale-up
ActiveXchange has announced initiatives and changes that will allow it to scale-up and provide greater support and guidance to the next generation of technology users across community sport, recreation and government.
Since launching in 2018, ActiveXchange data analysis tools have been widely used by operators, sports and government across Australia and New Zealand, pioneering a new way forward in how data is aggregated and analysed to empower everyone to get more people, more active, more often - and understanding the value and impact of doing so.
Today, following the backing of the Federal Government’s Commercial Accelerator Program recognising the value in the SportsEye Network, ActiveXchange is announcing further enhancements for 2021 and beyond, acknowledging the inherent need for SportsEye and ActiveXchange (the company powering the initiative) to remain independent and agnostic at all times.
With the following major initiatives underway, ActiveXchange looks forward to continuing to partner and support organisations across Australia and New Zealand to embrace data in a secure way with the collective of goal of tackling inactivity.
Appointment of Chair and Strengthening of Governance Structure
Martin Sheppard (pictured) has been appointed as the inaugural Chair of ActiveXchange with the focus of guiding the company’s scale up and growth across Australia and New Zealand.
In addition, the Governance structure has been enhanced with the establishment of an Executive Board, consisting of James Ellender (Chief Executive), Alex Burrows (founder) and Simon Haire (ActiveXchange Academy Director). The team will ensure corporate compliance and is actively supported by an Industry Advisory Board.
A new Industry Advisory Board
To be formally launched soon, the Industry Advisory Board will consist of technology, privacy and industry specialists, to hold all products and services to account to ensure independence at all times as well as guiding the product development, market expansion and data security for future generations of users as the company grows, benefitting all members of the SportsEye Network.
Investing into the growth of our Network
Following the backing of Federal Government, and appointment of the Executive Board, ActiveXchange has also removed all previous liabilities and has allocated significant resources to fund the growth of the business, with the first two new job roles being advertised for a National Account Executive and Marketing and Events Executive. Recruitment for both roles is well underway as the Company looks forward to continuing to provide support to its clients through its SportsEye Academy and continued education and thought leadership.
This next phase also brings forward a number of exciting features to the existing Network, enabling clients across Sport, Leisure and Government to further leverage their data alongside wider industry insights and connected services such as Social Value, Retention, ActiveCAMPAIGNS and other modules, all designed to identify and grow membership, optimise resources, and support ActiveXchange’s Network connect with all tiers of government.
Speaking of his appointment, Sheppard advised “I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the Board and especially James Ellender in the CEO role, who understands the market well.”
“Under James’s guidance we are putting in place a strong and sustainable strategy to continue to develop the platform for the industry and enhance our support for the company’s growth in Australia and New Zealand over the years ahead.
“I have followed ActiveXchange since its inception and, now in the role of Chair and talking with the sector, have been particularly impressed at the embracement of the technology by State and Local Government who want to understand the opportunities to grow participation in community sport and recreational activities at venues and places.”
