Smart Connection Consultancy partners to provide one stop solutions for sport

Smart Connection Consultancy, as one of Australia's leading advocates for synthetic sports surfaces to be used to grow participation in sport and recreation, has expanded its consultancy offering by formalising collaborations with key industry partners.

As the Technical Consultant/Advisor for Football Federation Australia, Australian Rugby Union, NRL, AFL (NSW/ACT) and various state football federations, this expansion to formally partner with three industry leaders will provide a one-stop-shop solution for its government, sports and education clients.

Smart Connection Managing Director Martin Sheppard (pictured) explains “as the industry looks for greater innovation and proven solutions we are proud to be able to share that we are expanding our services to be able to support all natural, hybrid and synthetic sports surfaces, by collaboration with the following companies”.

The collaborators are:

SportEng - a sport engineering consultancy specialising in the planning, design, construction and supervision of sport ‘Fields of Play’. SportEng has extensive experience with both natural and synthetic surfaces having delivered Fields of Play both nationally and internationally.

Ground Science - one of Australia's leading sports field environmental assessment companies, who will be conducting geotech investigations and contamination studies for the new collaboration team. This is a critical aspect for natural and synthetic surfaces to ensure that all designs are fit for purpose and are sustainable.

k20 Architecture - an award winning architectural practice that specialises in the design of sports facilities and especially pavilions and how they can make a difference to the integration of sport in the community. k20 Architecture has the skills to holistically masterplan the design of new sports facilities.

Dalton Consulting Engineers - Partners of Smart Connection Consultancy for the past eight years who will continue to provide high quality civil engineering solutions for projects, so the whole site, including traffic management, roads and buildings are completed holistically.

Pivotal to the collaboration is an understanding that each of the organisations is driven by the outcome, not just the process, by appreciating how the facility will be managed and who its target audience will be, in order to influence the way the facilities are designed, planned, engineered, procured and funded.

Sheppard adds “this collaboration really provides every council, sport and educational establishment with a one-stop shop for everything that they need for a holistic outcome for them, their stakeholders and communities.

Smart Connection Consultancy’s new company profile explains in detail how all the collaborators work together to deliver exceptional outcomes to the clients and the community.
