ActiveXchange announces Head of Data Science appointment

Following the recent release of its next generation SportsEye data and technology solution, ActiveXchange has expanded its data analytics function, announcing Richard Schultz as its new Head of Data Science.

Announcing the appointment of Schultz, who joins the ActiveXchange team with over 20 years of data experience and a decade at the top of senior data management roles at organisations including Foxtel and Bupa, ActiveXchange Chief Executive, James Ellender stated “(I’m) thrilled to have someone of Richard’s professional background want to join ActiveXchange and bring to our team and our partners, a level of sophistication not typically seen in grass roots community sport, leisure and recreation.”

“We’re committed to enhancing our data science function, alongside the collaborations through the consultants, academics and researchers, organisations and administrators we work with by continuing to listen and challenge the status quo through innovation to create compelling insights that continue and tackle the ‘so what next’ questions of the entire Network.

Looking forward to joining the team at ActiveXchange, Schultz (pictured) noted “I’m excited at the opportunity to bring my extensive track record designing, developing and managing advanced analytical products to solve complex, unstructured problems and team up with our network to co-create new and improved data products that support our partners thrive.

“With an up-bringing centred around community and an active young family, I’m looking forward to combining my skills and experience to genuinely shape more active and healthy communities across the globe.”

Schultz will lead ActiveXchange’s global data team tasked with building advanced analytics capabilities in partnership with the entire SportsEye ecosystem by safely and securely integrating data from a wide range of sources to create compelling insights, now powered by its next generation data and tech solution that directly supports hundreds of organisations and vendors connected to the ActiveXchange Network.
