VICSWIM launches 2021 Summer Kidz program

After many months of planning, VICSWIM has launched their 2021 Summer Kidz program with over 170 venues ready to offer the 2021 program in open water, inland waterways and indoor and outdoor pools and with 15,022 enrolments and over 200 teachers all excited about providing a memorable program for all participants.

VICSWIM are excited to commence the program after so many months of Victorian aquatic facilities being closed, resulting in thousands of swimming lessons missed each week across many months and therefore, important water safety and survival skills not being achieved by many Victorian children.  

With the introduction of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, VICSWIM have worked hard to ensure the VICSWIM 2021 is a COVIDSafe event for all.

VICSWIM have:

• developed or cited COVIDSafe plans for all locations,

• ensured electronic QR codes or manual attendance sheets are available at all locations to ensure effective contact tracing

• developed a procedure for all venues should they suspect or confirm a COVID–19 case in their venue
