Dates set for 2015/16 VICSWIM program

The dates for the 2015/16 season of the VICSWIM program have been confirmed, with enrolments opening Monday 19th October 2015.

The dates are:

Program 1: Monday 4th to Friday 8th January 
Program 2: Monday 11th to Friday 15th January
Program 3: Monday 18th to Friday 22nd January

Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) has also secured $400,000 in Victorian Government funding to assist in the running of the 2015/16 VICSWIM program.

The announcement was made by Victorian Minister of Sport John Eren at the 2015 Aquatics & Recreation Industry Awards gala, held on Friday 12th June 2015 in front of over 650 industry representatives.

The VICSWIM program is a low cost community aquatic education and water safety program that has delivered water safety lessons to Victorian kids, both swimming and survival in a range of aquatic environments, as well as health and social benefits such as enhanced community cohesion and engagement.

VICSWIM seeks to ensure that all Victorians have the opportunity to access water safety, survival and swimming programs (for both children and adults), that maximize safety and attitudes ensuring confidence and the ability to enjoy aquatic environments.
