Bookings open for VICSWIM summer program

Aquatics and Recreation Victoria has announced that bookings have opened for its 2019 VICSWIM Summer Kidz Program.

The coming summer will see the renowned school holiday program offered in over 140 locations throughout Victoria, providing a world-class aquatic program for over 11,000 youngsters aged from four to 12 years.

In its 43rd year in 2019, the VICSWIM program has been providing vital aquatic education and survival techniques to children for decades, seeking to ensure that Victorian children are suitably skilled to handle any situation in pools or open waterways in a safe and enjoyable manner.

Advising that he is excited about the 2019 installment of the VICSWIM program, Aquatics and Recreation Victoria Chief Executive Grant Connors stated “with record registrations expected and a $1.2 million commitment over three years from the Victorian State Government announced earlier this year, we expect the 2019 VICSWIM program to be the most successful program we’ve seen to date.

“Our mission is to ensure kids respect the water and enjoy swimming, be that in a pool, at the beach or in open waterways, but to do so safely and we are extremely proud of the program in place to ensure these objectives are achieved.

“We thank the Victorian State Government for its financial commitment and support of the program, enabling us to continue to keep young Victorian children safe in and around water.”

The 2019 program dates are;

Week 1:  7th -11th January 2019
Week 2:  14th -18th January 2019
Week 3:  21st -25th January 2019
