Ticketek has announced that it has renewed its ten-year long Partnership with Venues Canberra to provide ticketing, technology, data and insight solutions, to a number of the ACT’s largest venues.

Venues Canberra is comprised of the nation capital’s premier rectangular and oval stadia, including GIO Stadium and Manuka Oval, and plays host to some of the biggest names in entertainment and sport, including the Canberra Raiders, the ACT Brumbies, Greater Western Sydney Giants, Sydney Thunder as well as host a number of marquee sporting, music and family events, including Wallabies Test Matches and International Cricket Fixtures.

The expanded partnership between Ticketek and Venues Canberra enables customers to access tickets to their favourite Events utilising Ticketek’s best in class ticketing technology. Ticketek’s mobile first solution will see NFC contactless ‘tap n go’ entry enabled across GIO Stadium and Manuka Oval, enhancing the Event day experience.

Speaking today, Geoff Jones, Chief Executive of Ticketek owner the TEG Group, stated “over the last decade our relationship with Venues Canberra has gone from strength to strength and we could not be more delighted to renew our Partnership to ticket several of the ACT’s largest venues.”

Matt Elkins, Executive Branch Manager for Venues Canberra, added “for well over a decade Ticketek have been committed to Venues Canberra and the Canberra market.

“We are delighted that they will continue to Partner with us, our hirers, the people of Canberra and the region for a further five years to provide significant investment to the ticketing purchase experience and the entry infrastructure at our venues, which will no doubt enhance the customer event experience.”

Additionally, Venues Canberra will continue to gain access to TEG’s leading-edge, data insights and marketing research platform Ovation, which allows partnered venues to better understand their audiences and tailor future events to meet their preferences.
