Registrations roll in for 2017 Venue Management School and Graduate Institute

The Committee of the Asia-Pacific’s Venue Management School is currently accepting registrations for its  2017 Venue Management School (VMS) and Graduate Institute (GI).

Returning to the Salt Resort Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast, the innovative, industry-leading education program will run from Monday 12th to Saturday 16th November.

The VMS provides students with the opportunity of gaining a Diploma qualification and has international associations, having been adapted from the USA-based International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Venue Management School model to suit the local industry.

Established over 20 years ago by the Venue Managemen Association (Asia and Pacific) [VMA], over 900 students have participated in the VMS while, at just three years old, the newest professional development offering from the VMA is the Graduate Institute (GI) which has already attracted significant future industry leaders to complete the program. Drawing on industry leaders and subject matter experts, the School provides so much more that great exposure to content.

Additionally, graduates of the School and the GI are eligible to achieve recognised qualifications. Students have access to 10569NAT Diploma of Venue Management* and 10570 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Venue Management*.

The achievement of these qualifications is fully supported by the Education Team at the VMA and students are guided every step of the way by a qualified educator.

Course instructors are drawn from the ranks of senior venue managers and industry professionals from Australia, New Zealand, North America and Asia. Other instructors are engaged when specialist expertise is required. The school incorporates an instructor exchange program with the IAVM VMS (USA) and is grateful for the IAVM’s professional involvement.

Course notes for each subject are available to students online before the school and these become a valuable workplace reference manual.

*This qualification (accredited course) is offered in partnership with Amina Academy Pty Ltd, a registered training organisation (provider number 31532).
