Education program offers unique opportunity to advance venue management careers

Presenting a unique opportunity for professionals advancing their careers in venue management, Australia's Venue Management School (VMS) and Graduate Institute (GI) are led by respected and acclaimed industry leaders - enabling students to learn from decades of 'sharp end' industry experience.

Managed by the Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific) Ltd [VMA], this year’s VMS and GI programs will run from Sunday 8th to Friday 13th November 2015 at the Salt Resort Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast.

In April this, the VMA was successful in the creation of the new Diploma of Venue Management, approved and endorsed by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). VMA now owns the qualification and administers it in-house, as a result of which VMS and GI students will have the opportunity to choose between two packages:

Package 1: Attendance at the school in conjunction with additional learning package to graduate with Diploma of Venue Management (nationally accredited); or

Package 2: Attendance at the school only in order to receive a Graduation Certificate (not nationally accredited)

Those wishing to be part of the 2015 program are encouraged to enrol in the program as soon as possible

Graduate Institute
Capped at 20 students, the Graduate Institute (GI) is seen as the next step after the VMS and provides a unique educational experience of deep and interactive learning, with the major focus being on leadership. The GI will run in parallel with the VMS

Subjects offered as part of the Graduate Institute Program include the following:

• DISCovering Your Leadership Style
• Leading Change
• Strategic Planning
• Leading the Way
• Communications for Leaders
• Engagement, Empowerment & Great Service
• Problem Solving for Leaders
• The Art of Negotiation
