Priava backs EVANZ’s Rising Star
Leading cloud based venue and event management system provider Priava has underlined its market growth and future prospects by again sponsoring the Rising Star Award at the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) Venues Awards.
Backing the presentation of the Award to Vbase Event Planning and Delivery Manager Kylie Young underlines Priava’s commitment to the future of the venue industry.
Commenting on the Award, Priava Chief Executive James Pegum commented “we are delighted to once again to present this year’s award to an individual that is leading the way in venue and event management.
“Kylie Young from V Base is a glowing example of someone that has already demonstrated herself as a role model and who is also inspiring other colleagues within the industry.
“As a leader in developing technology that helps events professionals to achieve even more, it is this type of dedication and professionalism that we are committed to encourage.”
In selecting Young as EVANZ’s Rising Star for 2015, the judges commented “Kylie is an emerging leader at Vbase and is a key part of the leadership team. Over the past year Kylie has gone from strength to strength.
“She was appointed to her position in the aftermath of the Christchurch earthquakes and since then has managed to create a highly engaged team who will always go the extra mile for her.”
Young has a passion for delivering experiences to clients and guests, leading by example and with an extremely positive and enthusiastic approach to everything that she does. Her impact on the industry is also being acknowledged by her being invited by other venues to present to their Front of House staff on how to deliver customer service.
Winners of Priava’s Rising Star Award are provided with a year’s free training at the Venue Management School on Queensland’s Gold Coast. In addition, the cloud-based technology vendor has announced that it will match-fund years two and three of the programme with employers, dollar for dollar.
Pegum added “we believe that it’s imperative to invest today in the education and training of future generations of event professionals.
“In particular, New Zealand has shown tremendous growth in the events sector over the last year and as a technology provider we have experienced a 150% increase in sales.”
