Ungerboeck announces Venue Management School Bursary recipient
Georgia Hendy, Executive Producer - Commercial Programming and Venue Hire at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, has been announced as the 2016 recipient of the Ungerboeck Year 1 Student Bursary, awarded by the Venue Management School (VMS).
Accepting the award, Hendy stated “this scholarship will allow me to complete the final year of Venue Management School to learn more about the industry that I am passionate about and meet more of my industry colleagues.
“Through this course I can learn about other venues, see how they work, hear other management experiences and further improve my industry practice.
“Having used Ungerboeck products for some years, this is a very special award to have won.”
Ungerboeck have an extensive history with the VMS and have sponsored the bursary, covering fees and travel costs for completion of VMS Year 2, since its inception in 2005.
Ungerboeck Director of Sales and Marketing - Asia Pacific Derek MacMinn commented: “Georgia is a well-deserved winner of this award and a shining example of why we continue to support the VMS bursary.
“We feel we are directly investing in the future of the industry in the region by recognising exceptional talent in this way.
“We feel sure that Georgia will, once again, achieve outstanding results in Year 2 and both Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the wider industry will benefit from the knowledge she gains.”
