Registrations open for 2016 Venue Management School and Graduate Institute
The Committee of the Asia-Pacific’s Venue Management School has opened enrolments for the 2016 Venue Management School (VMS) and Graduate Institute (GI).
Returning to the Salt Resort Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast, the innovative, industry-leading education program will run from Sunday 6th to Friday 11th November.
The Venue Management School (VMS) provides students with the opportunity of gaining a Diploma qualification and has international associations, having been adapted from the USA-based International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Venue Management School model to suit the local industry.
Course instructors are drawn from the ranks of senior venue managers and industry professionals from Australia, New Zealand, North America and Asia. Other instructors are engaged when specialist expertise is required. The school incorporates an instructor exchange program with the IAVM VMS (USA) and is grateful for the IAVM’s professional involvement.
Course notes for each subject are available to students online before the school and these become a valuable workplace reference manual.
As of April 2015, the VMA was successful in the creation and approval of the 10569NAT Diploma of Venue Management by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). VMA now owns the qualification and administers it in-house.
Introducing the 2016 program, Meg Walker, Chair of Venue Management School Committee explains "quality education is a product of integration; whereby reading, research, listening and discussion combine to deliver the ultimate learning platform.
"The Venue Management School gives students a unique opportunity to experience such an environment and truly learn from both industry experts and most importantly, their industry peers."
Encouraging prospective students to enrol as soon as possible, an early-bird enrolement rate is currently available.
