2024 Royal Hobart Show to feature Bluey Live interactive experience

Organisers of the Royal Hobart Show have advised that an interactive experience featuring popular children’s character Bluey is to be one of its entertainment highlights.

As well as the many competitions, exhibitions and other activities that come under the Show umbrella, the Bluey Live Interactive Experience will feature loveable blue heeler during the weekend of 24th to 26th October.

Announcing the entertainment, Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania (RAST) Chief Executive, Scott Gadd explained “(we are) excited to be bringing the Bluey Live Interactive Experience to the Show to entertain Tasmanian children for the first time.

“Bluey is a worldwide TV sensation, and we’re sure Bluey, and her little sister Bingo, will get a huge welcome from children and parents alike. “Bluey is loved around the world, and we thought it was time she came to our state for some Live Interactive Experiences with Tasmanian kids and their families.”

Another headline event will be Erth’s Dinosaur Petting Zoo. Just back from a tour of Japan, and earlier this year a tour of the US, the technologically sophisticated dinosaurs were a big hit at the 2022 Show.

Backing the main entertainment will be:

Noah’s Thoroughbred Racing Pigs: A regular at the Show, all the way from Queensland, because children so enjoy the antics of the racing piglets.

Pandara Kelpies: At the Show from northern Tasmania. Intelligent and well-trained yard dogs will demonstrate their skills as the farmer’s best friends. This show provides an insight into how working dogs make such a difference on a farm.

Brian Fish’s Bullock Team: Always welcomed by Show crowds. Brian Fish is keeping the Tasmanian bullock team tradition alive and has a wealth of information about these majestic horses and their contribution to the early colony of Tasmania.

Crazy Daisy the Clown: Crazy Daisy will be roving at this year’s Royal Hobart Show. She’s a big crowd pleaser, using her skills in hoops, juggling and acrobatics to keep the audience entertained

Reptile Rescue: Reptile Rescue is back this year with snakes and lizards galore. At a time when snakes are emerging from their winter hibernation, showgoers can learn all about reptile handling with reptile demonstrations at Life on the Farm.
