Parks and Leisure Australia President moves to consulting role

Kristin Davies, the National President of Parks and Leisure Australia, had advised that she is moving from her role as Coordinator Social Infrastructure and Open Space Planning at Victoria's Surf Coast Shire Council to join landscape architects and environmental consultants Emerge Associates.

She will assume the role of Principal Strategist and Team Lead - Strategy for the Melbourne-based consultancy.

Advising of her move in a social media post, Davies explained “after nine plus insightful years in Local Government, I am excited to be returning to my roots in consulting - driving integration, innovation, impact and value for our industry.”

Davies describes Emerge Associates as a powerhouse in the landscape architecture and environmental consulting industry “with a strong track record of developing integrated solutions that benefit our clients, communities, and environment.

Davies is a Certified Parks and Leisure Professional and studied a double degree at Victoria University.

She is currently PLA’s National President of Parks and Leisure Australia where she has been a board member since 2018.
