Parks and Leisure Australia partners with World Urban Parks to present International Congress on Sustainable Places, Spaces, People and Habitats

Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA) is this year partners with World Urban Parks to expand its annual conference as the Joint International Congress on Sustainable Places, Spaces, People and Habitats

Supported by Green Adelaide, the Congress will provide a platform to discuss 'Sustainable places, spaces, people, and habitats; making cities active, cooler, greener, wilder and inclusive.'

As the world's second National Park City and the only National Park City in Australia, Adelaide provides the ideal location to experience firsthand the city's reputation as the most liveable in the country.

The Congress theme, Sustainable Places, Spaces, People and Habitats, will explore how parks and recreation professionals can make cities more active, cooler, greener, wilder and inclusive.

Being held in Adelaide from 22nd to 26th October 2023, PLA is currently inviting proposals for presentations, workshops, masterclasses or panel discussions related to the Congress themes.

In some cases, presenters at PLA conferences have been required to pay a fee to have their presentation included in the program.
