Mark Band to step down as Chief Executive at Parks and Leisure Australia

Parks and Leisure Australia Chief Executive Mark Band has announced that he is to step down from his contracted role at the body.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Band advised "after 10 years contracted to operate, facilitate, and lead all national functions and staff under a secretariat model with my business for Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA), I will be finalising my duties as CEO with the National Association as of 30th June 2022.

"It has been an absolute pleasure, privilege, and honour to have been responsible for PLA, and I take away many memories, friends, experiences, and industry contacts both here in Australia and overseas and thank the current and past National Board for their trust in me and my staff over the years.

"I thank each and every one of my peers, colleagues, and friends from across the globe, and wish PLA all the success as it moves to a new stage of its development and growth.”

Band went in to advise that he will be refocussing his time to new business ventures and his consulting and contractual services to the industry.
