Registrations open for PLA’s forum on establishing a National Women in Parks and Leisure Network

Registrations are open for Parks and Leisure Australia’s free ‘Industry Talk - Establishment of a National Women in Parks and Leisure Network’ to be held on 19th May and hosted by Rachel Thorpe, Vice President of Vic/Tas Regional Council and National Board Director.

As part of Parks and Leisure Australia’s Gender Equity Policy and Charter, PLA are inviting all members, women working within the industry, and champions of change from across Australia to join in this discussion about the establishment of a National Women in Parks and Leisure Network (WiPL).  At this forum discussions will be on the establishment of the WiPL Network, what PLA want the Network to be and do, and answer some of the questions about what the Network might look like.

It is intended that there will be a WiPL Network Forum scheduled at this year's National Conference being held in Sydney in September.

This forum is being hosted by the Vic/Tas Region, however the Network is being established Nationally and all PLA members are invited to participate.

Join in and meet your fellow members, be ‘a champion for change’, or simply show your support for this initiative.

A link to attend the free session will be emailed to all registered participants the day prior to the session.
