Otium Planning Group extends Generate Network Australia for another three years
Otium Planning Group has announced the renewal of their partnership with Parks and Leisure Australia to support the Generate Network Australia for a further three years.
The Generate Network was established in 2017 to connect, engage and develop the sport, recreation and leisure industry’s young and emerging professionals.
Commenting on the expansion, Otium Planning Group (OPG) Managing Director, Kate Maddock stated “we are very pleased to continue our support for this great initiative that works to improve development, networking and mentoring opportunities for the next generation of professionals in our industry.
“OPG was the first sponsor and partner of Generate in 2018 and we value the chance to support the industry in such a meaningful way. This new sponsorship includes support for the program across a number of areas, including providing an exclusive mentoring program in each of PLA’s five regions.”
Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA) Director and Generate Network Australia Chair, Kristin Davies commended OPG for their ongoing support and legacy leadership, adding “Otium Planning Group understand the importance of investing in our emerging leaders and future proofing our industry succession plan.
“Generate would not be possible without their support and legacy leadership and we are very grateful to have our flagship partner on board for another 3 years to help us launch Generate into the next exciting phase.”.
Davies also advised of new initiatives Generate Network Australia will deliver this year, including:
Events in all of the PLA regions, in both metropolitan and regional areas.
Professional Development opportunities as part of PLA’s Certified Parks and Leisure Professional (CPLP) program, and
Broadening the successful Mentoring Program offered by OPG to provide an exclusive mentoring opportunity for a Generate Member in each PLA region.
