Otium Planning Group appoints new Facility Advisory Senior Consultant

Otium Planning Group has announced the appointment of Malcolm Kuhn as a Senior Consultant to its Facility Planning, Business and Management Advisory Division.

Kuhn, who has over 27 years’ experience across local government and private facility and management sectors, is a passionate advocate and leader within the aquatic, recreation and sport sectors.

He joins Otium following his most recent role included 12 years as Manager, Leisure and Recreation Services at the City of Greater Geelong where was responsible for one of the largest local government operated sport and leisure in-house facility portfolios in Australia linking 36 facilities and managing over 600 staff.

The diverse facility portfolio included indoor aquatic leisure facilities, outdoor pools indoor stadiums, event centres, golf courses and community halls/hubs.

Announcing the appointment, Otium Managing Director, Kate Maddock, stated “we are delighted to welcome Malcolm to the Otium team and look forward to the hands-on contemporary industry experience he brings to the company.

“His experience will be a great asset for our Facility Advisory Services Division, where he will work in partnership with our leading facility advisor - OPG Associate Bruce Mackay. Malcolm’s many years of professional guidance in major facility feasibility, planning and business development lends itself perfectly to now working across the large range of major facility planning and development projects OPG works on each year.”
