JM Robson Aquatic Centre to host AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Course
Many aquatic centres will be hosting AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety courses ahead of summer with Lithgow City Council advising that on 22nd and 23rd October, the JM Robson Aquatic Centre will host the course to encourage greater participation in this important field.
With learning to swim considered to be one of the most important and valuable life lessons, Lithgow City Council notes “in part, the JM Robson Aquatic Centre exists to ensure that there are always opportunities for parents to enrol their children in classes which cater to a variety of skill levels.
“However, more important than the facility itself is having passionate and qualified Learn to Swim instructors to work with the dedicated Aquatic Centre team in providing these learning opportunities. We acknowledge that some may be interested in learning more about what this program requires.
“For this reason, the JM Robson Aquatic Centre has organised a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a fulfilling career in teaching young children how to swim and the importance of water safety.”
The AUSTSWIM course will cover a range of topics including:
Aquatic Safety, survival, and rescue skills
Water familiarisation, buoyancy, and mobility
Efficient stroke development
Movement through the water
Plan and deliver a lesson
Being an effective teacher
If you have a passion for teaching, then this could be an incredible opportunity to learn more and develop your skills. Enrol online today
