AUSTSWIM and Belgravia Leisure announce swim centre partnership
AUSTSWIM and Belgravia Leisure have partnered for the purpose of creating jobs and saving lives.
AUSTSWIM Chief Executive, Simon Weatherill advises “Australia currently faces a shortage of 5,800 teachers around the nation, and with millions of swimming lessons missed it is important that we firstly bring the number of swimming teachers back to pre-COVID levels, and secondly develop a career path for our teachers.
“Having the ability to swim is an important life skill for every Australian, and this partnership will not only help increase the participation in sport and physical activity, but also provide employment opportunities for active licenced swimming teachers.”
The partnership will be based on the following key principles:
Weatherill adds “partnerships have never been more important than they are today, and working in true collaboration with partners that want to make a difference in the world is motivational and gives organisations a sense of purpose.
“As CEO of AUSTSWIM, I could not imagine a life without water. My daily icebergs routine in Melbourne keeps me grounded and in touch with my life, while also giving me the confidence to pursue the numerous aquatic-based water activities available on the largest island in the world.”
