Belgravia Leisure takes on management of Murgon’s Jubilee Swimming Pool
Belgravia Leisure has taken over management of the South Burnett Regional Council’s Murgon Jubilee Swimming Pool.
Located 160 kilometres inland from the Sunshine Coast, management of the Murgon facility complements the contract management of the Goomeri Pool and the Gympie Aquatic and Recreation Centre in the region.
Commenting on the new arrangement, a South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said Belgravia Leisure was working hard to build relationships with the Murgon community, local schools and community groups.
The spokesperson noted that the Melbourne-based company has added four local residents to its Murgon staff team, including a lifeguard, high school students working in the kiosk and an aqua aerobics instructor.
It is also currently seeking swimming instructors and will start learn-to-swim lessons as soon as a qualified person can be appointed.
Murgon Swimming Pool will begin full operating hours from Monday 29th November and will be open from Monday to Friday from 6am to 6pm and 10am to 5pm on weekends.
The tender to manage the facility was advertised with Australasian Leisure Management in May.
