HealthySwim Australia expands expertise with new appointments

Two more experts have been appointed to the Board of HealthySwim Australia - the initiative that aims to improve water quality in commercial pools.

Bringing their industry expertise to the body are Cath Bellchambers and Jay Clarke.

Welcoming her involvement, Bellchambers, an expert in the holiday park industry, advised “I am so excited and honoured to be considered for this - and appreciate the opportunity.

“Our Industry is growing (with) pools, splashpads (and) swimming is a massive division of our tourism world.

“Training and education within our world is paramount for us to provide well maintained and safe swimming environments and I look forward to being able to participate and learn much needed knowledge and skills through this board to broaden and strengthen the gap in our on the ground teams on operating their pools and splash pads successfully and safely.”

Aquatics Venues expert, Jay Clarke, General Manager at City Venue Management (CVM), is the other appointment.

Clarke advised “I'm delighted to represent CVM and offer my expertise to help advise the HealthySwim Australia Board.”

As with other Board Members - Laurie Lawrence and Associate Professor Simon Reid - these new appointees are volunteering their services.

For the start-up Board, one more appointment - an appointee with skills in diversity and inclusion - will soon be confirmed.
