HealthySwim Australia appointment aims to drive pool water quality improvements

Former Australian Swim Schools Associations Chief Executive Ross Gage has taken on the role of Chair at HealthySwim Australia.

Announcing the appointment, David Brauer, Director of Brauer Swim, explained “this is the next step in our mission to be leaders in water quality education and certification for ‘high risk’ pools”.

One of Australia’s acknowledged aquatic industry leaders, having established the International and Australian Swim Schools Associations and Swim Australia, Gage previously operated his own swim school for over 30 years and leased a local government-owned swimming centre.

In accepting the appointment, Gage commenting “I am delighted with being charge to drive the optimisation of the HealthySwim Australia brand to a level where Members are proud to be embracing the concept.

“We want to ensure that families and industry staff swim in clean, healthy water - protected from chlorine-resistant parasites.”

Backed by Brauer Industries, HealthySwim Australia aims to provide patrons with a guarantee of swimming pools with safe water quality, with ‘healthyswim’ accreditation offering water quality twice as healthy as governments’ legal requirements.
