City Venue Management takes on management of Kawana Aquatic Centre
South East Queensland-based City Venue Management Pty Ltd have commenced a 10-year contract as operating managers of the Kawana Aquatic Centre on the Sunshine Coast.
With extensive experience in operating successful centres across Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan and the Scenic Rim; Kawana is the 21st site that City Venue Management Pty Ltd will operate.
Undertaking the lease for the Sunshine Coast Council, CVM commenced the contract for the 10-year term, with a further five-year option, on 1st July 2018.
Although some new faces are being added to CVM’s Kawana team, many of the existing teachers will stay on, ensuring quality and consistency of service for locals. This also includes head coach, Michael Sage, who will resume his role in leading the squad program charge.
In addition, established, South-East Queensland, family-based business operators, Rackley Swimming - Queensland’s largest providers of aquatic education - will now be offering their proven learn-to-swim and successful squad programs. The Centre will continue to provide health and fitness opportunities including Aqua, Circuit, mat Pilates, stretching sessions, yoga and adult swim squads.
Advising that in securing the contract the management groupdemonstrating its proven track record of professionally operating aquatic and recreation facilities, City Venue Management Chief Executive Reece Rackley stated “this venture comes with much excitement. Not only have we been able to extend our business and services into the Sunshine Coast for the first time, but we are looking forward to working with council, and building stronger relationships with local clubs and community groups.
“We sincerely thank, Shelly Douyere, for her prior service to the community and the centre. Our aim is now to ensure we continue to satisfy the health and fitness needs of our locals, as well as providing ongoing aquatic education, aiding safer and more enjoyable swimming opportunities.”
The Kawana Aquatic Centre offers five heated, purpose-built swimming pools, accommodating for a broad range of year-round aquatic activities.
