Fitness industry leaders set to come together at the FILEX Leadership Summit

Next week, 50 of the most senior decision makers in the Australian fitness industry will meet at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel to collaborate, debate and set the terms for a new era of fitness.

Being held on 23rd and 24th March, the FILEX Leadership Summit returns for its second year, building on an incredible inaugural event and underpinning FILEX’s core purpose of improving the professionalism and credibility of the Australian fitness industry.

Participants for this year’s summit include senior leaders from Fitness First, Anytime Fitness, Les Mills Asia Pacific, Mindbody, YMCA, Fernwood, Viva Leisure, Belgravia Health, Belgravia Leisure, Lift Brands Asia Pacific, NovoFit and AUSactive.

Explaining that the quality of the attendees reiterates the need for such an event, FILEX General Manager, Anthony Reed states “in how many industries would you find the best C-suite level minds in the country, including competitors, coming together to improve the industry for everyone?

FILEX Leadership Summit is one of a kind and we’re so proud to host an event that looks to solve the most important industry-level problems and challenges.”

This year’s facilitator will be former Facebook Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive, Stephen Scheeler, who promises to guide the participants in their search for world-beating leadership development to maintain Australia’s position as a global fitness leader.

Reed added “we chose Stephen as the driver of our two full-on days because he can confidently, and with impeccable credentials, stand in front of the room and say, ‘I understand your challenges, I’ve been there myself … he’s what I know.’

“He’s been in front of senior leadership for the likes of Qantas, Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, Google and even the Australian Government. And we are ecstatic that he now comes to FILEX.”

The invitation only two-day learning curriculum continues to raise the standard of traditional fitness business events, offering world-class executive level education that the industry has never seen before.
