FILEX to return in October in virtual series format
FILEX has today announced that it will return with an “industry first” FILEX Virtual Series, an online only event that will address vital fitness industry topics over three days.
To be held from 13th to 15th October, with each day dedicated to a specific and highly relevant theme, the Virtual Series is designed for personal trainers, instructors, coaches, fitness business operators and other fitness professionals delivering actionable and practical takeaways.
Wednesday 13th October will focus solely on the huge opportunity for trainers to improve the lives of current and potentially new clients with special conditions and chronic illnesses.
On Thursday 14th October, the industry will join together to take a deep dive into mental health and everything fitness professionals need to know about this complex and pertinent topic.
Finally, and most timely, Friday 15th October will be all about future-proofing any fitness business – what opportunities there are with business technology and data and what pitfalls to avoid.
These topics were carefully selected after listening to the industry during a very challenging 18 months and FILEX believes these are the areas where most value can be added for the fitness industry.
FILEX General Manager, Anthony Reed (pictured) explained that as Australia’s leading provider of fitness education events, “we knew we wanted to deliver an event that was different from anything we’d done before and we knew we wanted to zone in on key areas that are game-changers for our community.
“Once we had agreed a format with industry leaders and our key partners, including Fitness Australia, the topics themselves almost chose themselves. Education around mental health, special populations and making sure businesses and professionals are ready to innovate for an uncertain future ... right now there are no topics more important than those.
“And we want to go a little deeper and really provide our attendees with valuable knowledge and actionable insights using the latest evidence in these key areas.”
In another first for FILEX, attendees will be able to purchase individual session tickets, along with full day or three day passes, to offer ultimate flexibility and value for money during these tumultuous months.
Reed added “right now, we need to make things as easy and as accessible for the industry as we possibly can. We think most people will get incredible value from all three days, but we also appreciate that might not be possible for everyone - so this is about offering choice and flexibility.”
The FILEX Virtual Series will culminate with the presentation of the 2021 Fitness Australia Awards on the afternoon of Friday 15th October with a keynote address from 2021 Wimbledon Champion Dylan Allcott.
Ticket holders, along with the entire fitness community, will be able to grab a ticket to the free-to-attend awards which recognise and celebrate the life-changing work of Fitness Australia members, who encourage more Australians to be 'more Active, more Often".
The awards, a centrepiece to Australia’s fitness industry, will be streamed live rounding out a stellar three day online event.
