Fernwood Fitness secure multiple wins at 2023 AUSactive Awards
Leading women’s health and fitness club group Fernwood Fitness has secured multiple awards at the 2023 AUSactive Awards Gala, including being named winners of the Mental Health Awareness Award.
This award recognises the outstanding contributions of individuals, businesses, and communities that have tirelessly worked to improve mental health understanding, awareness, service provision, and the overall mental wellbeing of communities across the nation.
Welcoming receipt of the award, Fernwood Fitness advised “winning the award is a testament to Fernwood Fitness' unwavering commitment to mental health and wellbeing within the community.
Presented in Melbourne last Friday, Fernwood Fitness not only secured the Mental Health Awareness Award, but also celebrated multiple wins across its national network of clubs and staff. The following awards were received:
Fernwood St Kilda: People's Choice Medium Business of the Year - National and State Winner.
Lisa-Marie Gleeson: Group Exercise Leader of the Year - National and State Winner.
Fernwood Fitness Tuggeranong: People's Choice Medium Business of the Year - ACT State Winner and Krystle Ford won Exercise Professional of the Year - ACT State Winner.
Fernwood Toowoomba: People's Choice Large Business of the Year - Queensland State Winner.
Commenting on the awards, a Fernwood spokesperson stated “these accolades reflect the Fernwood network’s dedication to excellence in the health and fitness industry and its commitment to empowering women and communities nationwide.

Fernwood Fitness National Operations Manager, Tahlia Day shared “this is an incredible achievement for the group and a testament to all the work our franchisees and club staff do to get our teams trained up with Mental Health First Aid. We are not only looking after and caring for our members physically, but mentally as well.”
