Fernwood Fitness announces licence acquisition of HYPOXI weight loss brand
Fernwood Fitness has today announced the acquisition of the licence of HYPOXI weight loss brand from the Fitness and Lifestyle Group.
HYPOXI offers a low- impact exercise method that combines patented vacuum and compression technology with exercise and nutrition to activate the body’s natural system and metabolism for targeted centimetre loss and time-efficient results.
The HYPOXI exercise method offers a weight loss solution, ideal for women wanting assistance with their health and fitness goals from body shaping to gaining energy. Fernwood’s acquisition of the multi-million-dollar business will allow the network to offer women across Australia even more choice in customising and perfecting their health and fitness routines.
Owner and Fernwood Fitness founder, Diana Williams advises “our acquisition of HYPOXI Australia is a true win for every member at Fernwood and is great for our demographic.
“It can be difficult in the fitness industry to target the weight loss market outside of diet and exercise, and HYPOXI perfectly complements our network and the fitness routines of Fernwood members.”
In bringing the HYPOXI method under the Fernwood Fitness umbrella, which was already available at five Fernwood clubs prior to the acquisition, the in-demand exercise method is much more accessible for franchisees to invest in and implement within their clubs. The HYPOXI method significantly increases revenue by repurposing underutilised floor space within fitness centres to create dedicated studios for clients, making it immensely successful not only commercially, but also in terms of the overall options available to members of each club.
In a statement released by Fernwood Fitness they note that while “every Fernwood Fitness centre is purpose-built to elevate the lives of women both in and out of the club, providing everything from breakfast to hair straighteners,” the acquisition of HYPOXI adds to the ways in which Fernwood are giving back to members and franchisees, many of whom have already expressed “their love for the dynamic exercise method.”
HYPOXI is currently available at select Fernwood Fitness women’s health and fitness clubs in Victoria and availability will continue to grow across the Fernwood nationwide network from October 2022.
On Monday, the Fitness and Lifestyle Group announced that it had divested its Jetts Fitness brand in a management buy out.
