Belgravia Leisure wins contract to manage 10 Moreton Bay Regional Council facilities
Facility management contractor Belgravia Leisure has been appointed by Moreton Bay Regional Council in Queensland to operate 10 aquatic facilities across the region, undertaking to deliver improved services, new infrastructure and an estimated overall $5.7 million saving to ratepayers over the next five years.
Belgravia Leisure will now manage Council’s pools at Bribie Island, Caboolture, Deception Bay and Woodford, together with facilities at Albany Creek, Ferny Hills, Lawnton, Murrumba Downs, North Lakes and Dayboro, which have been managed by Belgravia Leisure since 2005.
Looking forward to working with Moreton Bay Regional Council to create and deliver programs and facilities that are innovative, accessible, diverse and consistent in their quality for the community, Belgravia Leisure Chief Executive Officer Nick Cox stated “Belgravia Leisure will invest more than $1.65 million to upgrade existing infrastructure across a number of pools, in the first two years.”
Upgrades will include an additional zero-depth water play area and a café refurbishment while Belgravia Leisure also plans to create up to 20 additional jobs for local residents across the facilities.
The Royal Life Saving’s Swim and Survive program is currently offered at Belgravia Leisure aquatic centres and will continue to be offered at selected Moreton Bay sites.
Cox added “we will work in partnership with Moreton Bay Council to deliver a wide range of aquatic services that are accessible and suit the community’s recreational and health needs."
