Ballarat gym rebranding reflects changing fitness trends
In a move that business owner Mel Tempest describes as “unveiling the future of fitness”, the popular Ballarat Body & Soul Health & Fitness Studio has undertaken an extensive revitalisation and rebrand.
Offering an additional 280 metre² of space, the facility has been split into two distinctively branded fitness spaces, the Body and Soul (BAS) 24/7 gym and the new Ballarat HiiT n Run Workout Zone.
Established by Tempest in 2003, Body & Soul Health & Fitness has established a reputation for innovation, introducing gym goers to trends including Wexer virtual reality group fitness, Les Mill RPM classes and the MYZONE wearable heart rate system.
By developing the new Ballarat HiiT n Run Workout Zone, Tempest is tapping into the increasing demand for functional fitness and high intensity interval training (HIIT) creating a dynamic space for exercisers to participate in this fast growing trend.
She explains “this is a separate training gym business focusing on HIIT, functional training, boxing, cardio, team training and sports performance.”
Two years in the making, the new purpose-built workout space two years offers one-on-one personal training, 30 and 45 minute group fitness classes, including high intensity interval training (HIIT), functional fitness and boxing circuit formats.
The space also houses new rowers, ropes and kettlebells and equipment from BoxMaster, HIITMill X, Life Fitness Synergy Units and SPARC HIIT trainers.
Last year the Ballarat Body & Soul Health & Fitness Studio was a finalist in the ‘top regional business’ category in the Smart50 Awards.
