Getting Australian businesses ready for the Commonwealth Games
With Australian businesses keen to work with the organisers of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, major events experts MEI are working with a number of key organisations in order to get companies ‘games ready’.
With less than 800 days to go until Australia’s hosting of the next Commonwealth Games (and 631 days until the Rugby League World Cup 2017), local companies are in prime position to access unique opportunities to supply into these iconic events.
With MEI having over 10 years’ experience working with companies helping them to access major sporting events business, from 18th to 26th February it, in partnership with Queensland Trade & Investment, Griffith University, IT Forum Gold Coast and the City of Gold Coast, will be hosting a series of events and training aimed at companies interested in enhancing their abilities to tender for major events.
Uniquely, participants will have the chance to network with visiting international companies with prior experience of working in events such as the London 2012 Olympics, the FIFA World Cup and the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
The initiative provides a unique platform to gain knowledge and network with key games stakeholders and companies alike, with a view to forming partnerships.
